History

Vingoe Lloyd has two offices in West Cornwall Hayle and Helston which have been established for many years.

The Office at Helston is at Great Office in Cross Street and is one of the landmarks in the town where solicitors have practiced for over 200 years. It was previously managed for many years by Mr Brian Peters who is well known in the town.

The name of Vingoe Lloyd has continued with the tradition of the office whereby client and colleagues are valued and the courteous and professional approach remains as it has done for many decades.

The town of Helston continues to be very traditional with, for example, the Flora Dance being held on 8 May annually and with the market town continuing to support the agricultural and fishing industries while welcoming the huge boost given to the local economy by the Royal Naval base at RNAS Culdrose.

The Hayle Office was opened by John Lloyd in 1978 and provided an efficient and reliable service to the community in Hayle and the St Ives Bay mainly in the areas of property transactions and Wills & Probate.

John Lloyd and Anthony Vingoe then merged their respective practices in December 2005 when Anthony took his extensive Family Law practice from his office in Hayle to join John at his offices at 33 St John’s Street.

John continues to have a senior role within the firm as a practicing consultant and specialises in property work at the Helston office.

Vingoe Lloyd is encapsulated by the words; traditional values within a modern practice. The long history and the reliable and professional service given to so many of the West Cornwall community is at the forefront of our focus.
